The Westerbork Memorial Centre and the JekerJazz Maastricht Foundation are proud to invite you to the performance of the Requiem for Auschwitz.

Sunday 28 September at 4 p.m. Our Lady’s Basilica Maastricht;

This Requiem will be performed in Maastricht for the first time!

The Brabant Project Choir will perform the Requiem for Auschwitz together with the symphony orchestra and four soloists.

Sinti composer Roger Moreno Rathgeb (born in 1956 in Zurich) wrote this requiem in memory of the many thousands of Sinti and Roma gypsies who perished during the Holocaust.

In view of these horrors and the current situation in the world, we want to show and, above all, make it clear that freedom cannot simply be taken for granted.
